Our 200 acre farm has been in the family for more than 60 years. The farm name comes
from the surprise you meet as you drive down the long wooded drive.
Grandpa Wright was an avid hunter and
bought the farm for its abundant wildlife. Still today, the farm is a wonderful place to see wild turkeys, white-tailed deer, song birds, birds of prey, fox, coyote and many more creatures.
The majority of our acreage is forested. We harvest logs and firewood, Christmas greens and maple sap from our managed wood lot. The oaks and pines give way to open fields where we graze beef cattle and dairy goats.
Our farm is steeped in history and is a great place to explore nature!
We are not open to the public on a daily basis. All visits MUST be prearranged.
